In 2018, digiLED were tasked with supplying eight outdoor and two indoor LED screens for Dooha Media. Altogether, the screens totalled a massive 805sqm, the largest quantity of LED at any single location in Qatar.
For the eight outdoor displays, digiLED supplied a product (digiLED NS8) that required a total of 13 different customisations to ensure the client got exactly what they needed. One of the main adjustments digiLED worked on was to enable the screens to function in the harshest of environments in the Middle East; extremely high temperatures of +50ºC, intense UV, saline conditions and sandstorms.
digiLED further customised the product to fit perfectly to the contours of the structure, resulting in a total of 12 bespoke cabinet shapes that all sat perfectly on concave, convex and flats walls, with sharp, clean corners. This enables the screens to wrap perfectly to the exterior of the building.
We are now five years on, and thanks to a combination of Dooha Media, who installed the screens back in 2018 and have been maintaining them as well as selling the advertising space for the last five years, and digiLED’s reliable and well-engineered screens, this impressive installation is looking better than ever.
