Hiroshima Football Stadium unveils three outstanding digiLED screens, elevating their fans experience and setting new standards in Japanese Sports Venues.
Hiroshima Football Stadium, also known as Edion Peace Wing Hiroshima, the home ground of Sanfrecce Hiroshima FC who are currently ranked fifth in the J1 league (Japan’s top football league) now features three digiLED screens.
The main screen (measuring 288sqm) and the sub screen (measuring 144sqm) are located above each goal. The third is a ribbon screen that spans the entire front of the upper stand and measures a whopping 380m in length.
At digiLED we have extensive experience of using our VISION series throughout sporting facilities across Japan, which made our VISION A an obvious choice for this project. Coupled with its high-quality, reliable components and high brightness capabilities we can ensure that images are vibrant and ‘punchy’, even on sunny days when conditions are most challenging.
At digiLED, we pride ourselves with providing innovative technology and bringing our clients vision to life. This was evident when the clients requested a 15mm pixel pitch, which at the time wasn’t part of the VISION A series. digiLED went above and beyond and were able to produce a 15mm version to exactly match their LED specification, giving all involved parties the confidence to proceed. We believe this installation provides Hiroshima Football Stadium with the exact technology they envisioned.
This project stands out from the rest as the first ever installation of digiLED screens into a football stadium in Japan. Its success has already led to additional orders for various stadium projects throughout Japan using the VISION series, including an extra screen for the Hiroshima Stadium and another significant order for 1,180sqm of VISION A for another stadium in Japan. The positive feedback and subsequent orders highlight the project’s success and the potential for future opportunities for digiLED in the Japanese sports market.
